Finasteride Tablets

The drug finasteride is used to treat people with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Finasteride tablets are most commonly used to treat male pattern hair loss, which causes the hair growth in the scalp to gradually contract, resulting in finer, thinner hairs.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia in men is treated with a stronger dose of Finasteride 2.5 mg and 5 mg. Male-pattern baldness, often known as hereditary hair loss in men, is treated with the lesser dose of 1 mg. Based on your clinical condition, your doctor will choose the appropriate dose and length of treatment for each indication.
