Glutathione is an antioxidant that occurs naturally in cells. It is mostly composed of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. A variety of causes, including inadequate diet, environmental pollutants, and stress, can all lower glutathione levels in the body. Its levels decrease with ageing as well. Excessive oxidative stress may be a cause to a variety of illnesses. Diabetes, cancer, and rheumatoid arthritis are a few examples. Glutathione protects against the effects of oxidative stress, which may lead to a reduction in illness.
