Testosterone Enanthate is designed to maintain testosterone release into the bloodstream for two to three weeks after a deep intramuscular injection. A man’s testicles naturally create testosterone, which is a sex hormone. Additionally, a woman’s ovaries and adrenal glands make very little testosterone. For disorders including delayed puberty, impotence, and other hormonal imbalances brought on by a deficiency of this hormone, men and boys are given testosterone enanthate. This medication should not be used to treat low testosterone that is not caused by specific medical disorders or aging. Women who have metastatic breast cancer, which cannot be treated surgically, take testosterone enanthate to treat the disease. In order to improve athletic performance, testosterone should not be used.
